Laila is Schedule to be Killed Today

Laila A1101183

LAYLA – A1101183

Publicly Adoptable - Manhattan
TO BE DESTROYED 01/12/17 A volunteer writes: Up front in her kennel, tail wagging gently, Layla is leashed easily and out we go. Her leash manners are lovely, she potties the moment we’re out the door, I put a coat on her and off we go to the park. Wagging her tail as we walk, we chat about the cold, the park, her favorite treats and what her favorite TV show is. No surprise — it’s Pit Bulls and Parolees!! She’s an avid listener, receptive and respectful of my opinions. She’s also incredibly camera shy, so getting a good photo simply didn’t happen today. Off leash in a pen, she’s immediately in my lap, cradling in for kisses and petting. Layla then goes off to watch a truck being loaded up, tail wagging gently as she observes. Then a sit for a treat, and back in my lap for more cuddles. Surrendered with her housemate Diesel (A1101180), we’re told she’s not good with children, has some resource guarding about bones and toys, and doesn’t like cats. Layla looks like she’s been a mom a couple of times, and has that ‘frosted face’ of a girl who’s seen many seasons. She’s gentle, soft and easy, and my experience with her was a delight. You’ll have to come meet her to find out for yourself.
